The first Singapore Problem Gambling Conference on “Understanding and Addressing Problem Gambling” held by the National Council on Problem Gambling (NCPG) was an astounding success. The conference featured interesting presentations and workshops by national and international experts focusing on policy, research, intervention and prevention of problem gambling.
The keynote speaker was an internationally renowned problem gambling expert
Dr Rachel Volberg, whose expertise is in the study of the prevalence of problem and pathological gambling, including its causes and social impacts.
Delegates from more than 11 countries attended the conference. They were impressed with the experience and expertise of the speakers and found the wide range of topics presented insightful, practical and relevant.
All the speakers and delegates enjoyed interacting and sharing their experiences with each other. Indeed, the participants had commented that the conference was a great platform to network.
